It is still and dark outside. Most of the world is still asleep. The curtains at the slightly open window gently flutter in the breeze. There is a slight chill in the air. The radio plays soothing classical music. A plane drones in the sky, disturbing the peacefulness of the still sleeping population. I sit at the tired pink armchair, rocking gently. Picasso lies at my feet, opening his eyes once in a while to see if I would consider vacating my seat and allowing him to use it instead. Ebony is curled into a tiny ball on my bed, in deep slumber. Looking at them, my eyelids grow heavy. Why don’t I do that? I have had my cup of tea. That always has a way to relax me. Yes, that is just what I’ll do.
